Three killed, 15 injured in Dailekh jeep accident

DAILEKH: Three passengers were killed while 15 injured in a jeep accident occurred at Magra of Gurans rural municipality-4 in the district on Friday.

The accident took place when a jeep (Bhe 1 Ja 1019) heading to Dailekh from Surkhet fell some 250 meters down the road, police said.

The deceased have been identified as Nam Bahadur Baduwal and his wife Kamal Baduwal of Dailekh and Thire Kami of Birendranagar municipality of Surkhet district.

Dailekh Police Chief Hari Bahadur Oli shared that the rescue team mobilized on time performed the rescue works quickly, thereby avoiding further casualties.

He added the injured have been undergoing treatment at Surkhet Hospital. The preliminary report of the police has found that the cause behind the accident might be a narrow road with high speed.
