Trump makes surprise Afghanistan trip



AFGHANISTAN: President Donald Trump is returning to the US after making a surprise Thanksgiving visit to U.S. troops in Afghanistan.

During his visit, President Trump said he believed that the Taliban insurgents would agree to a ceasefire.

This was his first to Afghanistan since becoming the President.

He said the Taliban wants to make a deal. “We are meeting with them,” Trump told journalists after arriving in Afghanistan. (Agencies)
