Mercury dips as highland regions witness snowfall

HUMLA: The temperature has dipped with the snowfall in the highland regions of the country.

A normal life has been affected in Humla district due to snowfall since Thursday evening.

People have been forced to stay indoors at the district headquarters Simikot. A heavy snowfall has been reported at Namkha Rural Municipality.

However, the farmers are elated with the snowfall as it is an indication of good harvest.

With the temperature going down, the government and non-government offices have remained closed in Simikot.
