Ambassador Bharadwaj presents credentials to Qatari Amir

KATHMANDU: The newly appointed Nepali Ambassador to Qatar Dr. Narad Nath Bharadwaj has presented his Letters of Credence to the Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, amidst a ceremony held at the Amiri Diwan in Doha on Sunday noon.

During the courtesy call on the Amir, Nepali Ambassador Dr. Bharadwaj had conveyed the greetings and best wishes from President Bidya Devi Bhandari to the Amir for his good health and happiness as well as for the continued progress and prosperity of Qatar.

While presenting the Letters of Credence, the Nepali envoy stated that President Bhandari had fondly recalled of her visit to Qatar last year and was eager to welcome Amir to Nepal at his earliest convenience, according to the press statement released by the Nepali Embassy in Doha, Qatar.

Extending his gratitude towards the Amir and the government of Qatar for warmly receiving him, Dr. Bharadwaj reaffirmed his commitments to explore various avenues of mutual cooperation for further advancing Nepal-Qatar relations during his tenure in Qatar.

In reciprocation, the Amir welcomed Dr. Bharadwaj and congratulated him on his appointment as the Ambassador to Qatar. He also wished for a successful tenure of Dr. Bharadwaj that his government would extend every possible support to his endeavors to further promote existing bilateral relations.

Recalling the visit of President Bhandari to Qatar last year and his recent meeting with her in Tokyo last week, the Amir expressed his commitment to further promote Qatar-Nepal relations.

He had also appreciated the presence of large Nepali community in Qatar and their role in Qatar’s development.
