NCP cadres try to assault NC leader Rijal in Tanahu

TANAHU: Cadres of the ruling Nepali Communist Party (NCP) obstructed Nepali Congress central member Dr Minendra Rijal when he was on the way to address a program at Rising Village Municipality of Tanahu on Sunday.

NCP cadres even tried to assault Dr. Rijal on the way, according to NC senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel.

He said that a group of NCP unruly cadres entered the scene in a disruptive manner with sticks and obstructed Dr Rijal from reaching his destination.

“The NCP cadres have also undermined the locals of Rising village municipality by barring NC leader and lawmaker Rijal from addressing the program,” he said.

Poudel dubbed the incident as ‘undemocratic’ warning that the party would be compelled to launch a movement to save democracy.

Likewise, talking to Khabarhub, Dr. Rijal said some miscreants obstructed his way and even misbehaved with him. “They even tried to attack me,” he said.
