KATHMANDU: The Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) has forecast heavy rainfalls at one or two places of the eastern and central regions for Sunday.

In a weather bulletin issued for today, the met office stated that the weather will remain generally cloudy throughout the country.

“Light to moderate rain is likely to occur at some places in the country and there are chances of heavy rainfalls at one or two places of the eastern and central regions,” MFD said in the bulletin.

A similar weather pattern is forecasted for tonight, according to MFD.

Presently, the axis of the monsoon trough has shifted north from the normal position and will bring rains, meteorologists said.
