Nepal to be declared open defecation free by mid-October: Minister Magar

DOLAKHA: Minister for Water Supply Bina Magar has said that Nepal will be announced an open defecation free country by mid-October.

“The ministry is unveiling cleanliness programs throughout the country in coordination with local and state governments,” Minister Magar said during a program organized to announce Dolakha an open defecation free district, “Cleanliness should be adopted with a high priority as it measures the prestige of our society and country.”

Amidst a program in presence of Minister Magar, Dolakha was declared 67th open defecation free district of the country.

Some 45,658 households in the district have constructed toilets.
