Nepal announces final squad for World Cup Qualifiers

KATHMANDU: Nepal National Football Team Head Coach Johan Kalin has announced his final squad for the match against Kuwait and Chinese Taipei for the Asian Qualifiers FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and Asian Cup China 2023.

Nepal will play Kuwait on September 5 in their opening Group B Qualifiers match.

Likewise, the team will challenge Chinese Taipei on September 10.

Biraj Maharjan was not a part of the team while Bimal Rana and Alan Neupane have also not been included.
Cutting two names, goalkeeper Kiran Chemjong and midfielder Rohit Chand replaces Neupane and Rana from his latest squad that traveled Malaysian to play Malaysian League champion Johor Darul Ta’Zim on August 26, 2019.

Final Squad:
Goalkeepers: Kiran Chemjong, Bikesh Kuthu, Bishal Shrestha
Defenders: Saroj Dahal, Ajit Bhandari, Dinesh Rajbanshi, Ananta Tamang, Devendra Tamang, Rajeen Dhimal, Suman Aryal
Midfielders: Sunil Bal, Ravi Paswan, Anjan Bista, Sujal Shrestha, Heman Gurung, Bikram Lama, Tej Tamang, Santosh Tamang, Bishal Rai, Rohit Chand
Forwards: Bimal Gharti Magar, Abishek Rijal, Nawayug Shrestha.
