SAFF U-15 Championship: Nepal mauls Bhutan 6-0, inches closer to final

KATHMANDU: Nepal mauled Bhutan 6-0 to inch closer to the final of the ongoing SAFF U-15 Championship being held in India on Thursday.

For Nepal, Captain Pradeep Lamshal scored two goals as Ashim Rai, Sugam Jimmi, Krish Sapkota and Nirajan Khatri scored a goal each.

With the win over Bhutan, Nepal has garnered nine points from four matches while Bhutan has crashed out of the competition.

Nepal has increased its chances of entering the final but, Nepal’s fate will be determined by a match between India and Bangladesh.

Nepal will fail to enter the final only if Bangladesh defeats India by a big goal difference.
