NC holding central committee meeting



KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC) has called a meeting of its central working committee (CWC) on Thursday to discuss the current political situation.

The meeting to be held at the central office at 2 pm will also take stock of its sister, well-wisher and public relations committees.

Even though the meeting was earlier convened for Wednesday, it was postponed for today after party senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel was ill.

Meanwhile, the party is holding its second phase awareness campaign from September 10 till 24.

Today’s meeting will also discuss the statutes of sister and well-wisher organizations and their recognition, according to party spokesman Bishwa Prakash Sharma.
