Govt announces health insurance for all



KATHMANDU: The government has announced to provide health insurance to all citizens. The new fiscal budget has allocated Rs 6 billion for the purpose.

Likewise, the budget has allocated Rs 6 billion for child health reforms. The budget aims to construct at least one health institution in all local units and has allocated Rs 5 billion for the same.

The new budget has allocated Rs 400 million for construction of Bir Hospital at Duwakot in Bhaktapur district. A total of Rs 68.78 billion has been allocated in the health sector.
