KATHMANDU: The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has suspended the license of Captain of Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) Bijaya Lama.

Captain Lama faced action as his clarification relating to the cancellation of NAC’s April 2 night’s ready-to-take-off flight to Dubai was not satisfactory, said a CAAN’s official.

“As per CAAN’s rules, a pilot should do a health checkup. But he (Lama) did not report about his health condition to the CAAN. His clarifications are not satisfactory. He cannot fly an aircraft until he continues his job as NAC’s spokesperson,” said the official.
