JAKARTA: At least 29 people have been killed by landslides and floods caused by torrential rain in Indonesia.

Thousands displaced by the calamities are taking shelter in evacuation centers, Reuters reported. Displaced people in the centers are living amid fears of diseases in lack of clean water.

The report added that more than a dozen people were missing after rain hit Bengkulu on Friday and Saturday. Hundreds of buildings had been damaged.
