Sunny Deol files nomination



NEW DELHI: After joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) recently, India’s actor-turned-politician Sunny Deol on Monday filed his nomination for the Lok Sabha 2019 polls from Punjab’s Gurdaspur, Indian media reported.

Sunny offered prayers at the Golden Temple in Amritsar before filing his nomination papers. The 62-year-old son veteran actor Dharmendra, joined BJP on April 23 in Delhi.

After filing his nomination papers, Sunny said the way his father worked with and supported Atal Bihari ji, he joined the BJP to work with and support Prime Minister Narendra Modi. (Agencies)
