Fire guts house, property worth Rs 750,000

KANCHANPUR: Property worth Rs 750 thousand was reduced to ashes after a house belonging to Dhauli Luhar caught fire in Shuklafant Municipality-4 in the district.

According to Police Inspector Ramesh Awasthi of Area Police Office, Jhalari, all the clothes, utensils, grains, and documents were destroyed in the fire.

The fire is likely to have been started from the fireplace during night when family members went to sleep without dousing it.

However, no casualties were reported.
