Debate, doubt over MCC unnecessary: Mahat

KATHMANDU: Joint General Secretary of Nepali Congress (NC) Prakash Sharan Mahat has argued that it was unnecessary to debate on the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC).

Mahat who is also a former Foreign Minister added that the agreement was reached during the NC-led government and no one should be dubious about the agreement.

He was speaking at a function organized in Kathmandu on Saturday.

“The US assistance is meant for transmission line and road infrastructure. It should not be left in limbo. The government should get it endorsed through the parliament immediately,” Mahat said.
