Cold grips capital as mercury dips to 0.6

KATHMANDU: Normal life in the Kathmandu Valley has been affected with the temperature going down to 0.6 degree Celsius on Saturday morning.

This is the lowest temperature of the year, according to Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD).

The temperature was recorded at 0.9 degree Celsius on Thursday. It was 1.2 degree Celsius on Friday.

According to meteorologist Barun Paudel, the temperature normally goes down in the morning when the sky is clear at night.

Currently, Tarai is covered in thick fog and mist while the weather in other parts of the country is clear, according to the MFD.

The weather will remain clear throughout the country today.
