Nepal slips three spots in FIFA rankings



KATHMANDU: Nepal has slumped three positions to be ranked 170th in the latest FIFA rankings unveiled on Thursday.

As per the previous rankings of the international football governing body, Nepal was placed in the 167th position.

When compared to South Asia, Nepal is ranked below India and the Maldives. The Maldives has been ranked 115th and India 108th in the rankings. India also slipped two spots in the latest rankings.

Likewise, Bhutan (189th), Bangladesh (187th), Sri Lanka (205th) and Pakistan has been ranked 200th as per the rankings.

Belgium continues to dominate FIFA rankings with the first position. Likewise, France and Brazil have been ranked second and third respectively.
