Odd-even road rationing rule in Valley for two days

KATHMANDU: To ease the traffic pressure in the Kathmandu Valley during the 13th South Asian Games (SAG), the Metropolitan Traffic Police Division will enforce the odd-even number system for vehicles for two days.

Speaking at a press conference organized Security Sub-committee of SAG, IGP Sarbendra Khanal said that only vehicles having the number plate ending with odd numbers will be allowed to operate on December 1 and vehicles having the number plate ending with even numbers will be allowed to ply on December 10.

The regional tournament will start on December 1 and end on December 10.

The odd-even system will be enforced only within Ringroad.

Likewise, traffic police have also urged not to operate goods-landed heavy vehicles inside Ringroad for the two days.
