MI-17 chopper takes off from Suketar, with dead bodies

KATHMANDU: The bodies of those killed in the Taplejung helicopter crash are being airlifted to Kathmandu. MI -17 chopper of the Nepal Army (NA) with all the seven bodies left Suketar airport for Kathmandu at around 12:15 pm this afternoon, according to Om Rai, an hotelier at Suketar.

The chopper could not fly in the morning due to unfavorable weather conditions.

Four bodies had been brought to Suketar form the accident site while the remaining three bodies arrived this morning. A site report had been prepared at Suketar Airport after all the bodies were brought from the accident site.

Tourism Minister Rabindra Adhikari along with other six people had died in an Air  Dynasty chopper crash in the Taplejung district on Wednesday afternoon.
