14 gamblers arrested in Bhaktapur



BHAKTAPUR: Police raided a gambling den in Suryabinayak Municipality-7 and arrested eight gamblers on Monday afternoon.

Acting on a tip-off that gambling was underway at a house of one Ram Chandra Khatiwada, police raided the house at around 1 pm today and nabbed eight persons including the house owner.

Police also seized one book of playing cards and Rs 237,500 from the house.

Likewise, police nabbed six more gamblers during a raid at the house of Tirtharam Makaju at Changunarayan-9, Tathali. Police recovered Rs 63,000 and three books of cards from the gambling den.
