KATHMANDU: Nepali cricket team captain Paras Khadka has said that Nepal lost to Singapore as the host ‘batted exceptionally well today’.

Responding after Nepal failed to earn a berth in the ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier he said, “We could have bowled better but they batted exceptionally well today. Unfortunately, it wasn’t our day today.”

He added that the Singapore team was fantastic today.

“From the start of the game, they batted very well and reached 191 runs. It was a fantastic wicket to bat and they made most out of it. We didn’t bat well as we should have because we thought the score on that wicket was achievable,” he said,” Thing didn’t go well today. We have not played good cricket in this tournament. Hopefully, we can come stronger in future events.”
