Over 500 smart travel cards sold by Sajha Yatayat

KATHMANDU: Sajha Yatayat has so far sold 500 smart travel cards after it introduced the smart card payment system on its buses on March 14.

The cooperative public transportation organization said its service has attracted a lot of passengers.

The card service, according to Mahendra Raj Pandey, manager for the Sajha Yatayat, has been provided to all buses of the organization operating inside and outside the valley.

A card can be purchased for Rs 200 with a net Rs 200 balance from the conductor onboard or from its office in Pulchowk.

According to Pandey, plans are afoot to introduce other attractive services in the near future. A total of 71 buses of Sajha Yatayat have been operating inside and outside the Valley.
