TOKYO: A schoolgirl and an adult man lost their life in a stabbing spree at a bus stop just outside Tokyo. Fifteen other young girls sustained injuries in the gruesome attack.

The girls, between 6 and 12, were students at a private Catholic school in Kawasaki city, south of Tokyo. They were boarding their school bus when they came under attack, NHK, Japanese national broadcaster, reported.

A suspect was detained at the scene, who stabbed himself in the neck and died later, said Tokyo police. (Agencies)
