BEIJING: President Bidya Devi Bhandari planted a sapling on the premises of the Chinese Exhibition Center in Beijing on Sunday.

President Bhandari, who is currently on a state visit to China, planted the sapling of Malus Spectabilis (a Chinese species of apple).

She arrived in Beijing on April 24 at the invitation of the Chinese President Xi Jinping to take part in the second Belt and Road Initiative for International (BRI) Cooperation that concluded on Saturday.
