Police used force after the group started building houses at Kanchanpur-1, Bairewa. A clash was ensued following intervention by the law enforcement agency. Police fired 19 teargas canisters to contain the situation. Over a dozen people were arrested by police while three cops sustained injuries.

Security personnel were fanned out after Reserve’s Administration informed police that large numbers of people are trying to build houses illegally.
