Bail-hearing for rape-accused Siddha Baba underway



SUNSARI: Police have presented rape-accused Krishna Bahadur Giri, popularly known as Siddha Baba, at Sunsari District Court for bail hearing after three days of investigation.

According to Gopal Prasad Giri, spokesperson at Sunsari District Court, Judge Dharma Raj Paudel is hearing the case currently.

District Court Sunsari on Monday had remanded rape-accused Siddha Baba to 3 more days in judicial custody for investigation.

It was the fifth and final remand for him by the court. A provision has it that the investigation should be completed within 25 days.

Police on December 2 had arrested Siddha Baba from the ICU of Birat Nursing Home on the charge of attempting to rape his own follower.
