Furniture factory catches fire, guts property worth mln

DOLAKHA: Tens of thousands of rupees was destroyed as a furniture factory caught fire in Shailung Rural Municipality-3 in the district on Thursday night.

According to Police Inspector Sujit Tamang, a large amount of sawing tools, a generator, 800 cubic feet of pine wood and electronic goods were destroyed.

The fire was contained by police with the help of police personnel.

A short-circuit is presumed to have been the cause of fire.
