PM Oli undergoes fifth dialysis

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Oli has undergone his kidney dialysis for the fifth time at the Manmohan Cardiothoracic Vascular and Transplant Center on Wednesday.

The Prime Minister who was being treated in ICU after the operation of appendicitis had his fifth dialysis at the Center.

The prime minister has been undergoing regular dialysis at the hospital after the kidney that was transplanted some 12 years ago stopped functioning.

Dialysis of the blood is a process to remove toxic substances or metabolic wastes from the bloodstream used in the case of kidney failure.

In the meantime, the hospital has issued a press release mentioning the improving status of PM.
