Nepal climbs one spot in FIFA women’s rankings

KATHMANDU: Nepal has climbed one spot in the FIFA women’s rankings. As per the new rankings made public by the international football governing body, Nepal has been placed at 100^th position.

Nepal was the runner-up of Nadezhda Cup held in Kyrgyzstan held some two weeks ago.

In south Asia, Nepal has been placed second. India has been ranked at the 58^th position. Likewise, Bangladesh has been ranked 132^nd, Sri Lanka 138^th, the Maldives 140^th and Bhutan 115^th in the rankings.

The USA tops the rankings as Germany, Netherlands, France and Sweden have been placed second, third, fourth and fifth.
