Govt to ban cargo trucks in Kathmandu during Dashain



KATHMANDU: The government has decided to ban cargo trucks from entering into the Kathmandu Valley effective from Monday in view of Dashain festival.

With the decision, cargo trucks will be halted at Chitwan except those carrying essential goods.

According to the decision, those ferrying essential goods including foodstuffs, clothes, medicine, vegetables will be allowed to enter the capital.

This rule will remain effective from September 29 to October 5.
