Koshi Hospital treats 60 with dengue in two months

BIRATNAGAR: The Biratnagar-based Koshi Hospital saw an increasing flow of dengue patients in the last two months.

Dr Sangya Gyawali at the hospital, more than 30 patient visit the hospital on a daily basis with complaints of fever, headache, body pain and vomiting. These are the symptoms of viral fever and dengue fever.

According to the data in the last two months, the hospital treated over 25,000 people for viral fever. Among them, some 60 were diagnosed with dengue fever.

Doctors have suggested people wear masks, and stay away from the crowd to prevent this disease. They have also advised the people to take plenty of fluid and give special attention to sanitation.
