‘Acharya Balkrishna fed on peda laced with poison’



KATHMANDU: It has been revealed that Acharya Balkrishna, close aide of Baba Ramdeva, has been fed on food spiked with poison. Balkrishna had fallen sick after eating peda ( sweet dish) offered by devotees on the occasion of Krishna Janmashtami. He was referred to an another hospital after preliminary treatment at the hospital belonging to Patanjali Yogpeeth.

Talking to officials at Patanjali Yogpeeth, Nepal on Monday, Ramdeva said Balkrishna was fed on peda laced with poison and investigation into the case is underway.

Acharya Balkrishna, who was born in Syangja, Nepal, is an Indian billionaire who owns and serves as the chairman of the consumer goods company Patanjali Ayurved. Forbes had reported him to have a net worth of US$6.1 billion as of March 2018.
