In pictures: Biplav-called band affects capital partially

KATHMANDU: Kathmandu Valley has been partially affected due to the strike called by Nepal Communist Party led by Netra Bikram Chand alias Biplav on Monday. The districts outside the capital have been affected comparatively more than the valley.

A fewer number of public vehicles compared to private ones can bee seen plying the roads in the capital. Those public vehicles plying the roads are seen overcrowded.  Meanwhile, the schools and colleges have remained closed.

Chand-led NCP has called a nationwide banda today after its cadre was killed in a police action in Bhojpur district few days ago.

Four cadres died in  bomb explosions in the capital yesterday. The bombs were supposed to explode at 4.15 am on Monday but went off 12 hours earlier due to miscalculation of time setting.

The explosions took place at Ghattekulo, Sukedhara and Nagdhunga yesterday evening.
