PM Oli undergoing appendicitis surgery at Teaching Hospital

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Oli is undergoing surgery for appendicitis at TU Teaching Hospital in Maharajgunj.

A team of doctors led by Dr Ramesh Singh Bhandari is conducting surgery for appendicitis of Prime Minister Oli. “How long Oli has to stay at the hospital can be determined only after the operation,” Dr Arun Sayami told Khabarhub.

Prime Minister Oli was admitted to Manmohan Cardiothoracic Vascular and Transplant Center of the TU Teaching Hospital after he complained of some stomach problem on Tuesday morning.

Following a diagnosis of appendicitis, doctors advised Oli to undergo surgery for it.

Oli underwent dialysis of his kidney for the fourth time at the Dhapasi-based Grande International Hospital on Sunday.

The prime minister has been undergoing regular dialysis at the hospital after the kidney that was transplanted some 12 years ago stopped functioning.
