Extortion mayhem in Province 5



KATHMANDU: Kantipur daily has highlighted issues of extortion and CIAA Commissioner Rajnarayan Pathak’s bribe-related case in today’s edition.

Nepal Communist Party led by Netra Bikram Chand alias ‘Biplav’ has sent a letter to all the municipalities and rural municipalities of Province 5, demanding 2 percent of development budget  in donation, says the report.

The daily reveals that Lambodar Neupane, former chief of Nepal Engineering College, Bhaktapur, had given Rs 7.8 million to Rajnarayan Pathak in kickback to cover his irregularities worth Rs 900 million.
