Three choppers make emergency landing in Khotang

KHOTANG: Three helicopters flying to Kathmandu from Sankhuwasabha have been forced to make an emergency landing in the district on Thursday afternoon following adverse weather.

According to the District Police Office, Khotang, two choppers of Altitude Air and one chopper of Simrik Air carrying employees of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) made an emergency landing. The employees had gone for an inspection of Arun Hydropower Project.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Bamdev Gautam said the choppers have landed in Regmitar of the district, adding they are heading to the spot.
