NC needs to review its humiliating defeat: Poudel

DANG: Senior leader of Nepali Congress (NC) Ram Chandra Poudel has said it’s high time that NC reviewed its defeat in the last elections.

Speaking at a program at Lamahi in Dang today, Poudel stated that NC leaders must correct themselves since they have failed to take the people into their confidence.

“Therefore, NC faced a humiliating defeat in the elections,” Poudel said urging the party leaders to work in the best interest of the party.

He said that the party’s upcoming national convention will be the test of time for NC leaders and cadres to determine NC’s future course.

Likewise, he also came down heavily on the government for failing to keep up with the people’s expectations.

Stating that the people were hopeful that the communist-led government would do well for the people and the country, the government utterly failed to meet people’s expectations.
