PARIS: US President Donald Trump has said the Kashmir issue is bilateral between India and Pakistan and that it should be resolved accordingly.

In a meeting with India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the sidelines of the G7 Summit in France, Trump hoped that both the countries come up with ‘something good’.

Earlier, Trump had offered to mediate on the issue. Meanwhile, PM Modi said since India and Pakistan were together before 1947, both the countries should discuss the problems and solve them together.

According to international media reports, PM Modi said that both countries should work together for people’s welfare.

PM Modi said there are several bilateral issues with Pakistan adding that India does not want to bother any other country about the issues. (Agencies)
