Refrain from criticizing leaders in public: Nepal Communist Party

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has strictly instructed its leaders and party cadres to refrain from criticizing one another in public.

A meeting of the party secretariat held today at the party central office in Dhumbarahi chaired by party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal issued the directives.

Dahal on Monday chaired the party meeting 15 months after becoming the NCP’s co-chairman.

The party has warned of stern action against anyone criticizing party leaders, party spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha said after the meeting.

Shrestha said that any grudges or complaints against any party leaders should be raised within the party in a systematic manner.

Likewise, the meeting also nominated four newcomers in the central committee. The newly inducted central members include Devendra Parajuli and Kalpana Dhamala who joined the NCP by leaving Naya Shakti Party, and Padam Rai and Kiran Rai, who had left the Biplav-led faction to join NCP.
