Nepal Army clears Rs 6 billion arrears



KATHMANDU: Nepal Army (NA) has cleared its arrears for the fiscal year 2018/19.

The NA has cleared a total of Rs 6 billion 287 million 668 thousand out of the total arrears of Rs 9 billion 334 million 400 thousand in NA’s name in the 2018/19 fiscal year, according to NA spokesman Bigyan Dev Pandey.

He added that the NA has cleared 76.36 percent of its arrears. According to him, of the due arrears, 97 percent was advance arrears.

The NA has adopted a policy of clearing all arrears in the name of the army organization.
