Nepal Communist Party secretariat meet begins



KATHMANDU: The ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) secretariat meeting has begun at the party central office at Dhumbarahi this afternoon.

Chairman of party Pushpa Kamal Dahal is chairing the meeting. This is the first time that Dahal is chairing the secretariat meeting 15 months after becoming the NCP’s co-chairman.

Thursday’s secretariat meeting held at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar had decided to entrust Dahal to convene and chair the party meeting as well as finalize the remaining tasks of unification in the absence of party chairman KP Oli.

The secretariat meeting is currently discussing the remaining tasks of organizational unification as well as other issues, party sources have said.
