Jajarkot folks face telephone service disruption

JAJARKOT: Telephone service has been disrupted in Jajarkot district for the past four days.

People are undergoing problems due to disruption of telephone services in the district. Lalit Kumar Basnet, Chief District Officer (CDO) said despite repeated notification to the telecom office, the service has yet to resume.

Even though the tower coverage can be visible on mobile sets, the telecom tower at the district headquarters has not been able to provide service even up to one-kilometer radius in the 2G service.

Khalanga bazaar area, too, has poor phone accessibility. There has been a problem in communication and internet service.

Nepal Telecom meanwhile said that the construction company has shown negligence in constructing the towers. Nepal Telecom, the service provider, had reached an agreement with Indian company Ester Nepal Pvt Ltd to construct towers within a year in the district.
