Thapaliya recommended as chief attorney of Province 3



HETAUDA: Om Prasad Thapaliya has been recommended as the chief attorney of Province 3. Chief Minister of Province 3 Dormani Paudel recommended Thapaliya to the post on Friday.

The post was lying vacant after former chief attorney Surya Chandra Neupane resigned from his post. Chief attorney is appointed by the provincial governor at the recommendation of the chief minister as per the constitutional provision.

Thapaliya, who hails originally from Kalanki, Kathmandu, have been actively working as an advocate since 2048 BS. He had been promoted to the post of senior advocate two years ago.

Thapaliya, who holds master’s degree in political science and law, had worked as a member of the disciplinary commission of the then CPN-UML.
