PM Modi consoles opposition not to be dejected

NEW DELHI: India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi has consoled the opposition not to be dejected since the country will have more elections.

Speaking in the Rajya Sabha, PM Modi challenged the opposition to come out and fight if they had the guts. He said the election results reflected the ‘emphasis on stability in minds’ of the voters.

Criticizing the Congress for being arrogant, PM Modi asked if democracy lost in the elections, did the country lose in Wayanad or in Rae Bareilly or in Amethi? He was referring to the seats won by the Congress party. (Agencies)
