Another 1 lakh names dropped from NRC in Assam



ASSAM: Indian state of Assam, in a fresh exclusion list, has dropped an additional 1 lakh names from the National Register of Citizens (NRC).

The Assam government published a fresh list comprising names of around 1,02,462 persons, who have been excluded from the NRC, Indian media reports have said.

Reports said the ‘excluded’ people will be informed individually through Letters of Information (LoI). However, these people can file their claims at the designated NRC Seva Kendras until July 11. (Agencies)
