A healthy diet includes a variety of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, good fats, and lean proteins.

Healthy eating means avoiding foods with high amounts of added sugar and salt.

Small, positive ways to improve diet:

Maximize the intake of water and herbal tea instead of soft drinks or colas.

Minimize meat consumption, especially avoiding processed meats that are high in salt.

Eat whole fruits instead of juices. Whole fruits contain fiber.

Eat more lean protein. It can be found in eggs, fish, nuts, and tofu.
