Man who conned 200 youths lands in police net



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested a man accused of swindling some 200 Nepali youths of over Rs 130 million.

A police team deployed from Central Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police arrested Parshuram Gurung of Bhojpur from Tribhuvan International Airport on Saturday, Naya Patrika Daily reported.

Gurung was arrested by Thai Police on March 27 on a dupery case. He was deported to Nepal on Saturday following two-month detention.

Gurung has been accused of conning youths of millions promising them of jobs in Canada. As many as 85 complaints have been registered with the police against him.
