High level commission to regain public land captured by land mafias

KATHMANDU: The government has rolled up its sleeves to regain the public land captured by land mafias across the country.

The Ministry for Land Management, Cooperative and Poverty Alleviation has initiated a process to form a high level commission to this end,  report in Rajdhani daily said.

Gopinath Mainali, secretary at the ministry, said the a proposal has been sent to the Ministry for financial approval. Once it is approved, the proposal will be forwarded to the Council of Ministers.
