President Bhandari’s China visit affected 200 flights

KATHMANDU: It is not unusual to get caught for a half-an-hour due to traffic jams caused by bigwigs’ movement. Not only the road their movement has started causing traffic jam in the air, too, leaving the scheduled flights delayed.

Around 200 international and domestic flights were affected by President Bidya Devi Bhandari’s China visit on Wednesday, Naya Patrika reported.

All flights were halted for 57 minutes for the Bhandari’s movement that resulted in flights delayed while the passengers had to wait for hours at Tribhuvan International Airport.

Republican system is gradually losing its luster after President’s movement started causing traffic jam both on the road and in the air, said the report.
